On July 19 and 21, 2026, the João Batista Stocco Municipal School in Colombo (PR), in the Paraná Association (APAR), part of the South Brazil Union, became a true center of love for others with the realization of the Vacation Humanitarian Mission – Good Samaritan. The initiative mobilized dozens of volunteers who dedicated their gifts and talents to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of the community.
During the three days of programming, 432 people received care through various free services, while 700 meals were served, demonstrating the project's commitment to caring for the human being in a comprehensive way.
The results reflect the impact of the action. 125 haircuts were performed, 79 dental care services were provided, 203 nursing care services, 34 physical therapy services, 32 therapy services, 28 podology services, 19 psychological care services, 27 legal guidance services, and 8 nutritional care services. The children's space also welcomed 93 children, providing moments of learning, recreation, and care.
Social assistance was another major highlight of the mission. In total, 5,021 pieces of clothing were distributed, benefiting 159 people, bringing dignity and hope to families in vulnerable situations.
However, the mission was not limited to meeting material needs. The main purpose of the initiative was to share the love of Christ. As a result of this evangelistic work, 70 people expressed interest in studying the Word of God through the Bible Course, showing that Christian service opens doors to spiritual transformation.
Inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, the mission reaffirmed that the gospel is lived through compassion, service, and care for others. Each care service, meal served, and gesture of solidarity became an opportunity to witness God's love in a practical way.
The Vacation Humanitarian Mission – Good Samaritan ended its activities leaving a legacy of hope in the Colombo community. More than impressive numbers, the initiative marked lives and strengthened the church's commitment to a mission that unites social assistance and gospel proclamation, showing that serving others continues to be one of the most powerful ways to announce Christ.
