June 21, 2026, became a special milestone for the churches of São Luís-MA. In an exciting baptism, held at Praia da Guia, in Greater São Luís (MA), seven people — five from the Anjo da Guarda Church and two from the São Cristóvão Church — publicly surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, reaffirming their commitment to the gospel and starting a new journey of faith.
The ceremony brought together members, family, and friends in an atmosphere of deep reverence, gratitude, and joy. Each baptism represented a story of transformation and a response to God's call, evidencing the power of the Holy Spirit in leading lives to a decision for the Kingdom of Heaven.
More than a symbolic act, the baptism expressed the faith of those who chose to live a new life in Christ, becoming witnesses of His grace and love. For the local churches, the moment also renewed the commitment to the mission of announcing the gospel and preparing people for Jesus' soon return.
The ceremony strengthened the congregation's hope and reaffirmed that missionary work continues to produce fruit. The decision of these seven new members represents another step in the church's growth and an incentive for others to also accept Christ's invitation to a transformed life.
