The Seventh-day Adventist Church – Reform Movement of Perpetual Help, in Macapá (AP), experienced a special week of learning and fellowship with the realization of the Vacation Music Course, promoted by CAMAP, from July 12 to 18. The program brought together teenagers, young people, and adults around music as an instrument of worship, service, and personal development.
Classes were held at the Maria Ivone de Menezes State School, where participants had the opportunity to receive musical guidance in different areas. The course featured the presence of specialized teachers who shared technical knowledge and encouraged students to develop their talents for the praise of God.
Participation of different generations
Although the majority of participants were teenagers and young people, the course also received people of older ages who decided to take the opportunity to start or improve their musical knowledge. The diversity of age groups demonstrated that learning has no limits and that music can unite generations in a single purpose.
In addition to members of the local church, friends of the faith also participated in the activities, strengthening the spirit of integration and welcome. During the week, students shared experiences, created new friendships, and experienced moments of Christian fellowship.
Learning that exceeded expectations
One of the most striking aspects of the Vacation Music Course was the progress achieved by students who had contact with musical instruments for the first time. Even being beginners, some of them managed to participate in the closing presentation, evidencing dedication, effort, and rapid evolution during the training days.
This result brought joy and motivation to both students and teachers and family members present, showing that music can be a powerful tool to awaken talents and strengthen the confidence of participants.
Emotional closing at the Perpetual Help Church
The conclusion of the course took place on Saturday afternoon, at the Perpetual Help Church, in a special program that brought together students, family members, church members, and visitors. The moment was marked by musical performances that demonstrated the learning acquired throughout the week.
Participants were able to present the instruments studied during the course, sharing with the congregation the result of intense days of practice and dedication. The program evidenced not only the technical development of the students but also the commitment to using music as a form of worship and Christian service.
Choir enriched the program
Another highlight of the closing was the participation of a choir formed by brothers of the church, under the direction of Professor Guilherme Gomes. The presentation brought a special moment of worship, moving those present and reinforcing the importance of music in the spiritual life of the community.
The choir contributed to making the ceremony even more significant, uniting voices in praise and demonstrating the beauty of collective music as an expression of faith.
Music that transforms lives
The Vacation Music Course left a legacy of inspiration for all those involved. The initiative showed that, through dedication and adequate encouragement, it is possible to awaken talents, strengthen fellowship among brothers, and bring people closer to God through music.
